Editor Settings
Open Settings from the editor toolbar. There are four sections, and Reset in the dialog header puts them all back to their defaults.
| Section | What you set |
|---|---|
| General | Auto-save on or off and its interval (5 to 30 minutes), undo history depth (10 to 200 steps), interface sounds |
| Timeline | Snap by default, show waveforms and filmstrips, extract filmstrips on import |
| AI | Caption sample interval (in seconds or frames), default caption style |
| Storage | Generate missing proxies, clear the project cache, regenerate thumbnails, delete proxies, manage local AI models |
Interface sounds
The editor can play short synthesized cues that confirm actions like selecting, confirming, toggling, and deleting. They are off by default and never affect exported audio.
- Open Settings and go to General.
- Turn on Interface sounds.
- Set Sound volume to taste.
- Pick a Sound theme (Signature, Velvet, or Crisp) and use Preview to hear it.
Sounds are suppressed while the preview is playing, so they never bleed into what you are monitoring.
Storage
The editor keeps your projects, their media, generated data, and finished exports in this browser. The Storage section is where you claw space back.
- Clear project cache removes regenerated data such as waveforms, filmstrips, GIF frames, and decoded audio. It never deletes your media, and the editor rebuilds what a project needs.
- Regenerate thumbnails fixes stale or missing previews.
- Generate missing proxies creates lighter copies of heavy video for smoother editing. Delete proxies removes them again. Exports always use the originals either way.
- Local AI Model Cache shows the models you have downloaded and clears them. Unload Local Models frees the memory they hold.
When browser storage runs low, the editor warns you once with the amount used and points you here. Deleting media you no longer need and clearing proxies is the quickest fix.
Set elsewhere
- Keyboard shortcuts have their own editor, opened from the keyboard icon in the toolbar. See Editor Keyboard Shortcuts.
- Appearance follows the light or dark theme you picked for 60 Minute Creator, so there is no theme control here.
- Language follows 60 Minute Creator too, so the editor has no language control of its own.
