Asset

The Asset node makes images for your workflow, like backgrounds, environments and props, and keeps the ones you pick. You generate them right inside the node, select the ones you want, and the selected images go out every time the workflow runs.

Inputs and outputs

  • No inputs, Asset is a source-only node.
  • Assets (output): the images you selected.

You can use this output anywhere an image is accepted: an Image Generation node's reference image, a Video Generation node's start frame, end frame, Reference or Elements, an LLM or Agent image input, Lipsync's image input, Replace Background's Background, and Compose's B-Roll.

You can also connect it to a Router to send different assets down different branches. The Router lists your selected assets by name.

If no asset is selected, the run stops and asks you to select at least one.

Generating assets

Click the card, or Open on its bar, to open the sidebar. It has two tabs: Assets and Generation. An empty node opens on Generation.

On the Generation tab:

  • Prompt: describe the image, for example "A neon-lit Tokyo alley at night, rain, no people".
  • Model: pick an image model. Prices show next to each one.
  • References (optional): pictures for the model to work from, like your product or a character. Click Upload to add one from your computer, or Media to pick one from your Media Library. How many you can add depends on the model: 3 on Grok Imagine, 10 on Nano Banana Pro, up to 16 on GPT Image 2.5. The number next to References shows how many are in use. If you switch to a model that takes fewer, the extra ones fade and are left out. Hover a picture and click the X to remove it.
  • Aspect ratio: tap a shape. Which shapes you get depends on the model.
  • Resolution, when the model has one: 1K, 2K or 4K on Nano Banana Pro and Nano Banana 2, 1K or 2K on Grok Imagine. Other models make a set size for each shape.
  • Variations: 1, 2 or 4 images per click.
  • Generate: the button shows how many images you'll get.

New images show up on the Assets tab, with a moving placeholder while they're being made. You can close the sidebar or leave the workflow while they generate. If you leave before they finish, they appear the next time you open this workflow in the same browser, within 24 hours.

Generating uses your Atlas Cloud key, and what it costs shows on your dashboard under this workflow. Running the workflow doesn't make new images, so the node adds nothing to the cost of a run.

A node holds up to 50 assets. When it's full, delete a few to make room.

Choosing assets

On the Assets tab, click an image to select it. An orange ring and check appear, and the line at the top shows how many are selected. The Assets tab itself shows how many images the node holds. Selected assets go out on every run, in the order they appear in the grid. Click again to unselect.

The card on the canvas shows the first selected image. When more than one is selected, a badge like "3 assets" shows how many.

Hover an image to see two buttons in its top corner:

  • Save to Media Library (the download icon): copies the image into your Media Library, under the asset's name, so you can use it anywhere. It stays in the node too, and the icon changes to a check.
  • Delete (the bin icon): removes the image from the node.

Naming assets

Every asset has a name under its picture. New ones are called Asset 1, Asset 2 and so on. Click a name and type to change it, for example to "Tokyo alley".

The name is how the asset shows up in a Router and in your Media Library when you save it, and an Agent node sees it too, so a clear name helps.

Tips

  • Assets belong to this node. Other workflows can't see them unless you save them to your Media Library.
