Scene Browser
The Scene Browser finds moments inside your footage. Analyze a clip once and the editor detects its scenes, describes each one, pulls out a color palette, and makes all of it searchable.
Analyze your footage
- Run Analyze with AI on a clip from the media library, or from the Scene Browser Analyze menu.
- The pass runs on your own machine: it detects scenes, captions each one, extracts a color palette, and builds the search index.
- Choose Analyze new media for clips that have no captions yet, or Re-analyze all to refresh everything.
Results are cached by content, so identical media is reused instead of analyzed again.
Search your scenes
Open the Scene Browser from the media library, or with Ctrl+Shift+F. Set the scope to all analyzed media or a single clip, sort by Relevance, Timestamp, or Media name, and switch between List view and Grid view.

| Keyword | The exact words in a caption, good for a specific object or label |
| Semantic | Meaning, so "sunset over water" finds related scenes. The first use downloads a small model, about 22 MB |
| Color | A similar palette, picked from a swatch in the library palette |
Results carry match badges (Strong, Good, or Fair) and say whether the match came from keyword, meaning, visual similarity, or color.
Use a result
- Click a scene to preview it in the source monitor.
- Drag a scene onto the timeline to add that moment to your edit.
- If nothing comes back, check that the clip has been analyzed. Only analyzed media is searchable.
